The holidays can be so hectic, making sure everyone else is taken care of, and all the arrangements are made. We want to remind you to look at your Christmas List and double-check that you have yourself on it. I know you’re thinking, “Yikes, it’s 2020, and there isn’t any extra money for me!” Well, guess what? Everything on this list free! Pick one or more and enjoy!
set an intention
Set an intention for the day you plan on spending with loved ones. I know in 2020, we might not be able to spend time with the loved ones we had in the past. Maybe you will only be zooming with your family. Before you reach your in-person destination, or log into your virtual visit, set a little intention to spread love and light amongst the group. You will be amazed to find the joy in your heart grows with just this one small change.
Look for where abundance is showing up
Look for where abundance is showing up in your life. It’s easy to get sucked into the “lack mentality” of thinking the grass is always greener somewhere else. Take a look around and be grateful for the little things, and you might realize those little things are big things.
Give yourself the gift of movement
Give yourself the gift of movement. We might be rushing around getting everything together, or maybe on Christmas Day, you do have extra time. Whatever your day looks like, take a little time to nurture your body. Perhaps that’s taking a virtual Pilates or yoga class, or maybe you only have time to do a little cat and cow. Whatever it is, be grateful for what your body can do and not what it can’t do.
Take breath breaks through the holiday season
Take breath breaks through the holiday season. May a pact with yourself to take a deep breath every time you get to sit down. Or maybe you sit a lot and need to take a deep breath every time you stand up. Or it could be that you take a deep breath right before you have a meal. Think of your deep breaths as little prayers or moments of gratitude.
Our hope is that this simple list helps you appreciate yourself and makes your holiday season just a bit more joyful. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from EnVibe Life!
